Donesafe’s CEO Sleeps on the street for charity

Three months ago, Matt Browne, CEO of Donesafe, learned of a shocking fact from the 2011 Australian Census: on any given night in Australia 1 in 200 people are homeless.

For years, Matt had been toying with the idea of taking part in the annual Vinnies CEO Sleep Out charity event, where once a year, thousands of Sydney CEOs spend a night out in the cold. For one night, they experience what over 100,000 Australians go through every night.

Learning the 2011 stats solidified Matt’s resolve and now, on the 23rd of June, he’ll be joining over one thousand other CEOs sleeping out in the cold.

This will be my first year and is a cause that is very close to my heart. As a safety professional, I spend the majority of my time working on ways to make people safer at work and return home as or better than they arrived. Unfortunately for a number of Australians, safety is about finding shelter as not all are fortunate enough to have a place to call home

– Matt Browne; CEO, Donesafe Pty Ltd

Now he’s not just doing this for fun; he’s doing it for charity, and he’s looking for supporters. We’re hoping that you’re one of them.

Any money you donate goes to Vinnies’ Homeless Services. All of your generous donations will provide not only immediate and emergency assistance, but also pathways to a brighter future.

If you want to get involved to support Vinnies and their goals, click the button below and Donate to Matt’s campaign on the CEO Sleep Out page. Any amount will make a world of difference to those in need.
