Month two of 2015 is already over, the year is steaming ahead and another awesome month over at Donesafe! We have had a busy month, including a visit to Melbourne and securing our slot at the Safety in Action exhibition in Brisbane later this year.

Functionality Update:

We have released a heap of new functionality this month and have more exciting features in the pipeline, this month saw the delivery of:

  • Safety Calendar: Monitor the past, present, and future with our new safety calendar functionality, see all your safety interactions in one place, and filter results based on functionality and location.
  • Advanced Reporting: A number of new advanced reports have been developed allowing you to gain insights out of Donesafe data. Monitor hazards causing incidents, repeat incidents, and much more with our new reports.

We are also working on our worker’s compensation functionality as well as a number of new partner features, stay tuned for more in future posts.

In the News:

As always, there has been plenty going on in the world of safety this month, some of the highlights are as follows:

The ACT Government launched a new “light-hearted” campaign urging drivers and cyclists to share the road.

The Aviation industry held international safety talks for only the second time in 70 years due to a shocking 2014 in aviation-related incidents.

Gina Rineheart’s Roy Hill Mine is in hot water for consecutive months with the Department of Mines & Petroleum ordering Roy Hill Executives to improve safety. Later in the month, the Mining Minister, Bill Marmion hauled senior Roy Hill personnel including Chief Executive Barry Fitzgerald into an emergency meeting to express concerns into poor safety at the site.

A gut-wrenching road safety video has been released in New Zealand and is a must-watch for all drivers, “no one should pay for a mistake with their life”.

A coal mine worker was killed and another injured after a tire exploded in the Bowen Basin.

The Queensland Government and WorkCover Queensland released a Labour Hire micro-site, providing advice and services to organizations involved in or utilizing Labour Hire Companies.
